Most of us feel more comfortable if we know a little bit about what we’re signing up for. Here are some examples of what we’ll do each week and info about our intentions for this group and what you can expect as a participant.

What can I expect?

  1. Each session will follow a similar structure so there’s some predictability across meetings. You can expect to play with your voice and your senses while having a ball in a supportive space. You’ll be invited to share and connect with others as we explore voice, gender and creative expression in a safe and welcoming environment. We believe observation is participation. If you’re someone who takes a little while to warm up in group settings or who learns best by watching first - we got you.

  2. You can expect that we’ll adapt the voice and sensory activities we do to meet everyone’s needs. Each group member has their own starting point so yours might be different from someone else’s, and that’s totally ok. Some people will just be beginning to explore and build a healthy relationship with their voice, other people may have tried traditional voice training, etc. Wherever you are is right where you need to be to join this group.

  3. You can expect to experience a whole lot of feelings. Excitement, hesitation, pride, curiosity, confusion, accomplishment, joy, fear, discomfort, playfulness, comfort, clarity.

  4. You can expect that we will create a safe container for holding all of your experience…the wonderful, the challenging and the surprising.
